Since 2006, I have had the pleasure of maintaining my own oboe studio.  My students have regularly been selected as Outstanding Performers at local and state Solo and Ensemble festivals, qualified for All-Region and All-State band and orchestra, and have attended summer camps such as MPULSE at the University of Michigan.  Teaching students of any age, I offer private oboe/english horn lessons, as well as, reed-making instruction.  I have discovered that there is very little that I enjoy as much as watching a student grow as a person and as a musician through private lessons. 



In addition to teaching, I make and sell reeds for my students.  I know that it is extremely difficult to buy quality reeds from a store.  I bought those same reeds as a beginning oboist and am now fully aware of how challenging it is to produce a beautiful sound on them.  When I make reeds, I am better able to adjust them and am in control of every step in the reed-making process.
